Copper Still is a Scottish bar and restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile, open daily from 9am for breakfast through to late-night drinks.
Whether you’re fuelling up before a morning at Edinburgh Castle, taking a well-earned break from exploring the Old Town, or settling in for a long dinner with friends, we’re here for all of it.
We cook fresh Scottish food every day using the best local suppliers — from prime Scotch beef and east coast haddock to haggis, venison and seasonal vegetables grown close to home. Our all-day menu runs from a hearty full Scottish breakfast right through to evening mains, with something for everyone including vegetarian and vegan options.
When it comes to drinks, we’ve built a menu worth exploring. Choose from a carefully selected range of Scottish craft beers, an extensive whisky list, hand-crafted cocktails and try our signature Royal Mile cocktail — and a wine list chosen to complement the food. Whether you’re a whisky enthusiast or just after a perfectly made drink, our team knows what they’re talking about.
Sitting midway between Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, we’re one of the most centrally located restaurants on the Royal Mile.
On warmer days, grab one of our outdoor tables and watch the buskers and the city go by.
Walk-ins are always welcome, and we keep a generous section of the venue free for spontaneous visits.
